Ceramic Workshop

Join our Doors Open Day workshop to design and create ceramic slipware tiles using rich red terracotta and grogged architectural clay, drawing inspiration from the growing Strange exchange collection.

Over the course of the day, design and make your own slipware slab and combine tiles with others to create collaborative pieces that will become part of Pipe Factory creative community making and learning spaces.

Drawing Activity

Drop in workshop for all ages

Drawing activity in library area (bench and table) to generate designs - with prompts from the library. Stick them on the wall and also fix postcards/pegs on the trolley.

This design wall can grow through the duration of the day. [we can also use this area to manage numbers if it is busy making slabs!]

Film Screening

Drop-in film screening incorporating local history and archival footage to provide insight into the industrial history of the east end of Glasgow.
