The University of Glasgow Students’ Representative Council is offering historical walking tours of the University campus as part of the 575th anniversary celebrations.

These tours will explore the University’s foundation, history, architecture and alumni, offering visitors a chance to discover more about one of Glasgow’s most iconic institutions.

Tours last around 45 minutes to one hour and take place mainly outdoors.

Meeting Point

Your guide will meet you at the East Undercroft (the lowest floor of the area marked A12 on the attached map in 'Useful Links section' below) just prior to the 12.30pm on both dates. This is beside the Gift Shop and directly next to a diorama of campus.

A reminder that this is primarily an outdoor, walking tour, so please be mindful to wear weather-appropriate attire. The Instagram reel - link below in the Useful Links section - shows the route to the meeting point from Hillhead subway station.

The reel follows one of our guides as the walk along Byres Road and University Avenue, where a number of buses also stop.
