Visitors are welcome to meet in the Bridgegate Hall before being led by a member of the Wasps team to explore both the normally publicly accessible parts of the Glasgow landmark, plus a rare look around the artist studios and creative offices across the building's upper floors.
Drop In Activities
Visitors are welcome to stop by for a self-guided walk around various parts of the building, including the newly restored Clydeside Market Halls between 10am and 4pm.
Start at the Bridgegate Hall (c. 1873) which faces onto Bridgegate, before moving into the new events spaces towards Clyde Street to see the Clydeside Halls, which were constructed in 1899 and 1904.
Loop back and head towards the artist studios to meet the resident creatives at The Briggait for a rare glimpse into their private workspaces.
About this Venue
The Briggait / Wasps Studios
Wasps is Scotland's largest provider of creative spaces, est. 1977. We look after 18 buildings, from Shetland to the Borders, to provide workspaces to a community of over 1,000 artists and makers.
We are based at The Briggait, Glasgow's former fish market, which has been our headquarters since 2011, which houses over 100 artists, creative companies, and cultural organisations, and serves as a major focal point for creative life in the city.
