About this Event

St Mary’s Cathedral situated the busy West End of Glasgow. The building was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and was opened in 1871 and consecrated in 1884. From Stunning Stained Glass to Murals by Gwent Leech the building has a number of interesting features.

We welcome people to come and visit St. Mary's and see our stunning Stained Glass and unique Murals designed and painted by award winning artist Gwent Leech, set in a building designed by the architect Sir. George Gilbert Scott. Self Guided Tours are on offer, along with interactive activities for Kids (Friday & Saturday  - to be confirmed)

Come and try 'playing a pipe organ' on Saturday and if visiting on Sunday why not join on of our services for wonderful Choral Music (11am & 5pm) Display about 'An Organ for Glasgow' (Thursday-Saturday) - our project to replace current organ with a 'Father Willis' organ kindly donated to us by the Catholic Archdiocese of Glasgow. Friday: Orgelkids - (TO BE CONFIRMED) event for school groups  (See www.orgelkidsuk.org for more info) A fun interactive activity re how a pipe organ works. Sunday: to be confirmed possible open organ practice session with Director of Music available to answer questions)
