About this Event
Glasgow Ramshorn Graveyard Walking Tour
Learn interesting stories such as those of David Dale of New Lanark, John Anderson the founder of Strathclyde University, and Pierre Emile l'Angelier, dead through arsenic poisoning.
We tell of the mortality rates that took thousands, including children, to an early grave and the graverobbers who resurrected them.
We tell of the merchants, tobacco and sugar lords who made huge fortunes trading with the Americas and how they contributed to the development of the Glasgow that we know today, and discuss their legacy that is still with us now.
