Read the full event details

St. Vincent Street Church is the last surviving intact church designed by Alexander "Greek" Thomson and which was built for the United Presbyterian Church in 1859 and in use as a place of worship until 2021.

Since then, the Category 'A' listed church has effectively been mothballed while a new use is identified that celebrates its architectural glory and introduces it to a wider audience.

In 2024, for a brief four hours, the church was opened as part of Doors Open Day, with hundreds of visitors reminded of its glorious interior and potential for re-use.

This year, with access not possible, conservation architect Fiona Sinclair, a Trustee of the Alexander Thomson Society, will attempt to capture the essence of its importance in a short illustrated talk.
