About this Event
Join our Conservation Architect, Fiona Sinclair, for a guided tour highlighting the building’s key external features including the art deco lighting and a small exhibition in Entrance 2.
The group will meet up at the main entrance just off Cranbourne Road.
There is no parking within Kelvin Court itself.
Light refreshments will be available at the end of each tour.

Kelvin Court
Kelvin Court is a remarkable representation of Scottish Art Deco architecture. This distinctive two-block residential complex, designed by James Newton Fatkin - renowned for his cinema designs - was completed in 1938.
Comprising 101 flats, many of the flats preserve original features that exemplify the stylistic nuances of the Art Deco movement, including ornate cornicing, stained glass features and vitrolite bathrooms. Such defining elements contribute to Kelvin Court's status as a significant cultural landmark in Glasgow.
Coincidentally, this year also commemorates the 100th anniversary of Art Deco, a style that emerged following the 1925 Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris.
