About this Event
Research Poster Presentations
Gain exclusive access to the most powerful MRI scanner in Scotland and learn about its use in innovative local research programmes.
Throughout the day, you’ll be welcomed at reception by researchers from the centre, where a rotating display of posters will introduce some of the exciting research taking place in the building at reception.
Staff will be on hand to chat, answer questions and explain how imaging is used in research and healthcare.
7T MRI and Coil Lab Tour
We will also offer two bookable tours during the day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Each tour will begin at reception at 11am (and 1pm) and finish back at reception after approximately 1 hour.
Visitors will be taken to the 7T MRI control room to learn how the scanner works and what it is used for, before visiting the coil lab, where bespoke MRI coils are designed and built for use at the Imaging Centre and across the world.
Tours must be booked in advance.
Please note that access to some areas may be limited and visitors will be guided by staff at all times.
