About this Event
Open Museum Pop-Up Session
The aim of this work has, and continues, to be a focus on transferring the museum from within four physical walls and into the streets of the wider city of Glasgow instead, allowing individuals with barriers to visiting our venues to still benefit from the cultural and educational value of our collections.
So, in the spirit of this year’s Doors Open Days Festival, come and learn more about The Open Museum by handling several real museum objects, take a guess at the purpose of some mysterious historical devices, and explore one of our many social history-themed kits that we use on a daily basis to aid in reminiscence therapy for older adults.
This pop-up session will be appropriate for all ages and based in the welcome area of the Kelvin Hall.
