Tours of Glasgow Gurdwara

Glasgow Gurdwara will host visitors for a guided tour of the Gurdwara building, as well as an informative talk on the key elements of the Sikh religion. Click the 'Book Now' button to book onto a guided tour.

Traditional Roti-Making Workshop

On Friday, there will be an interactive Langar workshop where you can get hands-on with traditional bread-making in the Gurdwara. To book onto this workshop, please click on the 'Book Now' button above, open the range of timeslots for Friday 18 September, then click on any time between 11.30am - 2.30pm to see the box to book on for the workshop starting at those times.

  1. Can I take photos?

Yes - your volunteer guide will advise when you can take a picture.

  1. Do I need to wear any particular clothing?

Inside the Gurdwara, heads must be covered. You can bring your own scarf - the Gurdwara also has head coverings available. Clothes should be modest with arms and legs covered.

  1. Is there any rules?

Please do not bring any meat, alcohol, tobacco, cigarettes on your person.

  1. Is the tour free?

Our tours are run, for free, by volunteers. You can make a voluntary donation towards the Gurdwaras charitable projects.

  1. Do I need to pre-book?

Free ticket registration via our Eventbrite event page is required to enable you to have the best experience during your visit. Click button at top of page to be directed to our Eventbrite event page to pre-book your tickets.

Glasgow Gurdwara is a Sikh Centre located in the heart of Glasgow, in Pollokshields, the Gurdwara serves as a religious and social hub for Scotland's Sikh community.

It hosts daily prayers, religious services, and cultural events for the Sikh community, while warmly welcoming people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Central to the Gurdwara's values are the Sikh principles of equality, humility, and selfless service, most notably reflected in the langar, a free community kitchen open to everyone.

In addition to spiritual services, the Gurdwara offers educational programs, youth activities, and various support services, making it an inclusive space for worship, learning, and community engagement.
