About this Venue
The Southern Necropolis
Friends of Southern Necropolis are a not-for-profit voluntary community group, who strive to preserve and promote the educational, environmental and historical assets of the Southern Necropolis, the final resting place of approximately 250,000 contributors to the rich historical legacy of Glasgow.
The gatehouse of the Southern Necropolis is an “A listed” building and on the Glasgow Buildings at Risk list, built 1848 designed by Charles Wilson.
The gatehouse is indeed a window to the past as well as a door to the future.
