About this Event
Visitors will be welcomed by our volunteers and given a brief history of the site.
Further information on those buried within the graveyard will be available for those who may have relatives buried there.
This year is the 200th anniversary of the creation of a place of worship on the site and our group will be joining with the local church to celebrate this event.
The Moderator of the Church of Scotland will be visiting the church over the Doors Open weekend.
About this Venue
Maryhill Road Graveyard
The Friends Group has taken over the upkeep and maintenance of the graveyard surrounding the former Maryhill Parish Church.
The Church was demolished many years ago, but the graveyard, which had fallen into a terrible state of disrepair, is now accessible to the public following works undertaken by Glasgow City Council.
The Friends of Maryhill Road Graveyard Group are now responsible for maintaining it and ensuring public access.
