Glasgow's River Clyde

The River Clyde has always been at the heart of Glasgow and this engineer guided walk will explore how infrastructure and engineering have shaped the city.

From it's early days as an ecclesiastic settlement, through it’s days as a trade hub and an industrial powerhouse, to today’s vibrant and cosmopolitan city.

The walk, by members of ICE Scotland will explain the engineering behind Glasgow’s identity, from fishing and ferries to ship building and trade, railways, cars and today’s net Zero challenge.

The walk will start from the Glasgow Science Centre, walking towards the city centre.
