A Symphony in Stone celebrates Glasgow's stunning architecture and cityscape. Interviews with key experts including Professor John Hume, Gavin Stamp, and Fiona Sinclair, Niall Murphy and Ruairidh Moir.
Narrated by Glasgow born Bill Paterson with music created by Lliam Paterson, one time composer in residence at Scottish Opera and performed by members of the opera orchestra. The film covers the period from medieval Glasgow to the end of the first world war and includes buildings and layouts of famous Glasgow architects including Alexander 'Greek' Thomson, Charles Wilson and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. |
