There is a beautiful oak pulpit, communion table and choir stalls. There is also an impressive stone Baptismal font. The main windows to the church are arched with ornate stone mullions and transoms known as tracery. All windows have leaded glass panes.
Visit our extensive halls where you can travel back in time to 1989, the first year of Glasgow Doors Open Days, for a 1980’s themed birthday party. The party will take place in the large hall which was the original church building. This will be a celebration for all ages with special children’s activities and games. Then take a trip to 1899, the year the church was built, for refreshments in our pop up Victorian tearoom.
There will be an exhibition of arts and entertainment throughout the years, including original art work from one of “Glasgow Girls”. Come and find out more about our connection to her. See the original plans and architect’s letters about the building of the church. Then have a browse through correspondence from this period.
See what people in the local community did for entertainment in the 1900’s.
Watch a screening of a special film made in 2018 by an award winning Scottish film maker about a chance discovery in our church. Discover how this led to our participation in Doors Open Day in 2018 and other special events.
