Yes, today we are in love, aren't we?

We are thrilled to announce that we are working with the Glasgow City Centre Mural Fund, Cobolt Collective and GTW Storage to make a permanent commemoration of our 30th anniversary.

Cobolt are an all female mural collective comprised of Erin Bradly-Scott, Chealsea Frew, Kat Louden and Edda Karolina. Despite the fact that women make up 50% of the population and 70%-80% of art students are female, almost all large scale murals in Glasgow are painted by a small number of male artists. Cobolt was formed to offer an alternative to the gender imbalance within Glasgow's mural scene.

Over the next few weeks Cobolt Collective will be painting a mural in the City Centre inspired by the built heritage, the architecture, culture and the people of Glasgow - all the elements which have sustained and developed Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival over other last 30 years.

The mural will be unveiled on September 22nd with a live performance by Glaswegian brass band, Brass Aye! This will be a free but ticketed event. Tickets will be available online at 10am on September 1st.

On this page we will be posting pictures and videos of the murals progress. Keep checking back for updates!
