The Friends of Glasgow Necropolis are delighted to once again offer to undertake friendly and informative tours of the cemetery. Come and hear some of the stories of the approx 50,000 people interred within its magnificent gates dating back to 1832.
You will find monuments designed by major architects and sculptors of the time, including Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson, Charles Rennie Macintosh and JT Rochead, in every architectural style, created for the prominent and wealthy entrepreneurs of the ‘Second City of the

Accessibility: Limited accessibility - some routes may be inaccessible due to stairs or steep hills.
Parking: On street pay for parking is available in John Know Street. There are also limited spaces in Cathedral Precinct again pay for parking.
