Have you ever wondered who writes Wikipedia? Ever fancied having a go? Ever thought about having your writing read by thousands of people worldwide?
Join SLIC and the Scottish Civic Trust for this editathon on Monday 10th September, and help to open the door to Glasgow's buildings for a global audience. In this all-day session you'll learn how to edit Wikipedia, improving and creating articles about notable buildings in Glasgow that are part of the Doors Open Day festival.
Computers will be available, or bring your own laptop.
We've identified a number of Wikipedia articles about notable Glasgow buildings that need to be improved - or that don't exist, and need to be created! You'll learn how to edit Wikipedia, and also more about how Wikipedia maintains quality and accuracy.
No prior experience in editing Wikipedia is necessary. The session will be led by experienced Wikipedia trainers and full training will be given.
