EXHIBITION - Barrowland Ballads
Glasgow City Heritage Trust, 54 Bell Street, G1 1LQ
Celebrating the importance of Glasgow’s music scene to its cultural and built heritage, the exhibition will showcase artwork produced by Recollective (Alison Irvine, Chris Leslie and Mitch Miller) about the Barrowland.
Showcase sheds light on the value of the Barrowland Ballroom itself, both architecturally – and as a workplace, a community asset and a place to gather. The three artists will exhibit work including photography by Chris Leslie; a dialectogram of the Barrowland by Mitch Miller, plus sketches and graphic journalism from the project as well as excerpts and quotes from Alison Irvine’s non-fiction essays on the Barrowland, and archival and source material. |
