HUB: TALK - Avenues & Lanes; discover the regeneration of Glasgow City Centre

The Garment Factory, 10 Montrose Street, G11RE
Both the ‘Avenues’ and ‘Lanes’ projects involve partnership working at a local level with a key objective of making the City Centre more accessible for all users. This talk will allow us to observe different stages of progress and discuss some of the key motivations behind each project.
The talk will explore the Council’s flagship ‘Avenues’ project which has recently been completed and will also lead onto looking at several ‘Lanes’ projects within the City Centre. We will be presented with the projects in detail by those who are directly involved and will also consider the upcoming regeneration ambitions for Glasgow’s City Centre. The talk will be followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion.

So bring with you an inquisitive mind and join us for this fabulous lunchtime learning experience. More information on Glasgow City Council’s City Centre Strategy can be found on the Council’s website. The talk is expected to last no more than 1 hour. Please book separately if you plan to join us for the ‘Avenues and Lanes’ guided walking tour beforehand.
